Talking about racism with our children: Softball or hardball?

Six years ago when the “i can’t breathe” movement started, I sang a song composed by Samuel L Jackson and put on youtube. It was a bold move for someone like me that is generally camera shy. Then in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic this 2020, George Floyd became the face of every black man whose life has and would be wasted by the ridiculousness that is racism, I changed my status to a black box in solidarity.
